This is what I'm knitting tonight. I'm liking it.
Here is my "new" treadle machine and it works too!!
I found it in my Mom's garage after she passed away. I wasn't sure if it was one of my grandmothers'. But my SIL said my Mom purchased 3 old machines. I had the base refurbished my antique restorers and the machine serviced by a singer dealership.
Tonight we set it up and it was so smooth. I can't wait to try it on some quilting fabric.

Very interesting knitting. Can't wait to see how it turns out. The treadle is gorgeous. I've been looking at some, I'm amazed by them, but I don't think I have room for one here. Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure where I would be putting it either as I have no space in my quilting area. But it looks great in my living room. Now to keep clutter off of it. ;)
DeleteBeautiful machine Vicky. My mom had one just like it. The restoration work was amazing, the cabinet looks almost brand new.
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha. I didn't even think of taking before and after pictures until I was replying to the comments today. It looks amazingly better. Inside some of the drawers still look awful, so I'll have to get in there and do some cleaning. But I'm really happy with the cabinet and machine.
