Edit May 27, 2012 11:20 AM My Time: Winner of Random Draw: Number 311!
Hi Vicky-I am a follower.
I have been sewing for 41 years, my first quilting project was a hand pieced pillow when I was 17, made a lot of quilts the wrong way when my kids were little (they loved them anyway-they didn't know;))))-and have finally started to get the hang of things and make quilts I feel really good about giving away within the last two years. In between I've sewed a little bit of everything, and have done the most of English smocking and heirloom sewing- that was my specialty till the kids outgrew wearing it :)
Thanks for the opportunity to win this great giveaway.

Hi, I started sewing just a couple of years ago. I've only made one big quilt for my nephew's bed, and then 4 smaller ones, crib/lap size... Appart from that, tons of little things, impossible to count!
ReplyDeleteHey, I love this jelly roll. I've been quilting for about a year now, made about 4 quilts.
ReplyDeleteI have been quilting for 18 months, I have made about 5 lap quilts, 6 wall hangings, various table runners and a few handbags. I am making up for lost time!
ReplyDeleteHi there - I've been quilting for 0 years, I've never made one! It's one of my goals for the year to start though. I have my pattern and everything all picked out, just need to get some fabric. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI just learned to sew a year ago, but I've made 6 quilts and a few smaller projects. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm still a beginner, working on my first whole quilt.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicky, I am new at quilting, I only started this year and so far I have made a simple nine patch mini quilt that is hanging in my house right now, one of my new year resolutions was to learn to quilt and knit.
ReplyDeleteooh! I'd love some black and white! I started a few years ago but have been sewing more seriously for a year. I blog too and I've started following yours. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Vicky,
ReplyDeleteI've been quilting for about 12 years now but I don't make that many as I keep digressing and doing other things. I was making a quilt for my daughter's 18th last summer and didn't get it finished in time so I wrapped up the back (which I had finished) gave it to her on her birthday and then asked for it back. Still haven't finished the front but I am vowing to do it before she leaves for uni in September. What a bad mother!
Love the black and white - I was recently doing a project in monochrome and realised how short my fabric stash was in that department.
Thank you.

I made a couple of crap-tacular, only Grandma could love 'em quilts as a kid, made a couple of decent ones in my early twenties but honestly didn't get really into it until a few years ago. Not counting baby quilts, I've probably made about a dozen at this point. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have only started to get into quilting in the past year. I haven't made any full size quilts yet, but I have my first two in progress and I've made some smaller things like cushion covers :-)
ReplyDeleteI have only been quilting around 7 months as my sister requested one for her next bday! but now I am hooked, I have her quilt on the go and another one with a bee i'm in! :) very exciting :) The best projects I have made so far a two quilted cushions! x
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower too x
ReplyDeleteI can't remember when I started and I've lost track of the amount of quilts I've made. As I also make quilts for children with leukaemia my own projects tend to take a back seat. However, I'm sure I've made more quilts than there are in the house!
ReplyDeleteHave been quilting for about 15 years. It has become a great number of stuff making throw all those years but you change your way of doing it. I really like artquilts så I sill try more of that and dying fabrics.
ReplyDeleteHave a great summer. Loooooove black and white. Will be giving away an black and white toiletbag on friday - will be on my blogg on saturday I think....
Quilthugs.

Hi Vicki, I have been quilting for about 5 years - probably a bit more seriously the last 2. I remember at the start saying I am just going to make a few quilts and just buy the fabric I need. But then the fabric addiction set in and my stash kept growing! I have probably made about 10 lap to bed quilts and 20 Baby quilts. We won't mention the unfinished pile!
ReplyDeleteim a new follower, cant wait to catch up
ReplyDeleteIve been quilting for about 5 years, properly for last 2 Id say, made 10+ quilts and lots of wall hangings
ReplyDeletePS -I'm now following you.
ReplyDeleteBeen quilting for about 25 years and have been through a lot of changes in styles in that time. I love the current Modern Quilting aesthetic and all the new fabric lines. I guess I've made about 300 quilts in that time, mostly baby and lap sized in the last 5 years.
ReplyDeleteAfter 50 years of sewing & other needlework, I finally started quilting in January 2011 when I retired. First project was a simple 2 color patchwork in prep for our 3rd grandchild. Since then I've made 8 more quilts and I'm currently working on a hand-appliqued Dresden Plate.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicky, I have been quilting for 4 years, and have completed about 10 quilts. I have also sewed purses and wall hangings (love those small projects!).
ReplyDeleteI started quilting really in college, so that's about 22 years, although I really started quilting avidly about 12 years ago. I can't even guess at how many quilts I've made -- maybe 200, 250? Of course, I get better each year, so some of my earlier projects -- not so great. And yet, I still love them and the journey they represent.
ReplyDeleteI am your new GFC follower, number 14
ReplyDeleteI never quilted before, it's few time I passionated this tecnique, but I still haven't pacticed ^^)
ReplyDeleteI have helped my mom quilt since I was little, and we've probably made around 30 quilts.
ReplyDeleteI'm also a new follower!
ReplyDeleteI've been quilting a long time, over 15 years. I am a full blow addict and have made hundreds of quilts. I take a photo of each one and get prints made that I keep in photo albums -- old school, I know! Truth be told, I also have pictures on the computer of those quilts I've made since we first got a digital camera.
ReplyDeleteI am a fairly new quilter of under a year. I have made only 2 quilts and I am started on my next. I would love to do a black and white one!
ReplyDeleteHello! Less than a year quilting and one quilt finished here! Thanks or the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI have been quilting for a little under three years, and I've fully completed 7 quilts. There are a lot of UFOs floating around, too. :D
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower. I have been quilting for a little over 10 years and have made over 100 projects between quilts, table toppers, etc.
ReplyDeleteI have been quilting for about seven years now and have made maybe 30-40 quilts. I have made tons more things, clothes, bags, pouches, etc.
ReplyDeleteI've only been quilting about six months and have made a few quilts. I'm hoping to have time this summer to make more!
ReplyDeleteI've only been quilting about 3 1/2 years, I still feel like a rank newbie! I've finished 6 full sized quilts, 10 baby quilts and a whole whack of smaller projects. And I have a WIP pile that looks like I've been at it for decades! Ah I love starting a project, finishing, not so much ;)
ReplyDeleteI have been quilting for nearly two years, I love it & grab every opportunity to sew, it makes me happy. I think I've made about 10 quilts, & it's been a great learning experience. I'm pretty much blog & tutorial taught, I'm so grateful to the lovely quilting blogging community. Thanks for the giveaway, I'm a follower.
ReplyDeleteI started quilting about 15 years ago, but had a break during my european tour (Lived in Spain, England, Finland and now Italy) due to constant moving and lack of sewing machine! It looks like we'll be staying put for a while now, so I've taken up quilting again about a year ago.
ReplyDeleteI've been quilting maybe 4 years and love it! I'm working on a new quilt project now for a friend as a surprise.
ReplyDeleteI've been quilting for 7 years I've finished about 45 quilts big and small. Maybe more.

ReplyDeleteI learned how to sew when I was a kid, but I have made exactly three quilts -- two small art quilts & a baby quilt for my niece -- I am so proud of the baby quilt! It took me months!
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting to quilt. It's so fun! Thanks for the great giveaway!

I'm just starting to learn how to quilt; still working on my first one. Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI dabbled in quilting when my son was born, that's 10 years back but have only recently started doing it seriously and have finished about 10-12 quilted objects from coasters to mug rugs to wall hangings. I have lost count of how many WIPs I have. I love using black and white fabrics for my quilts and hope that I win. And even if I don't, I would still like to say thank you for the chance to enter.

Made a black and white skirt using the moda bake shop pattern. been sewing for too many years started lots finished not as many as i would like
ReplyDeleteI have been sewing for about 5 years, but I am yet to make an actual quilt! I tend to work on cushion covers, using English paper piecing. I have done maybe 10 of those.
ReplyDeleteI have been sewing "forever" -- mostly making and selling small items. Now that I am officially retired, I have the luxury of time and I am making one big quilt after another! Thanks for your wonderful black and white giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHi! I made my first quilt maybe 4 years ago, but I have lots of other crafty loves that take up more of my free time. I think I've actually finished maybe 4 or 5 quilts?

Hi, thanks for the great giveaway and question. I have been quilting for years and years (I think maybe 15), but with no regularity at all. So very FO's are few and far between. I don't think I have ever completed a full size quilt, but I have some tops completed. I have made tiny things instead. I hope to change all that someday.
ReplyDeleteHi! I've only been quilting for 5 months but I love it! I've completed two lap quilts and I've just cut everything to start working on a queen-sized quilt for my bed! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteIm a beginner!

ReplyDeleteMy first attempt at a quilt I was maybe 12 years old. I don't know how many quilts I've made, or how many other projects I've done - but I can definitely say I've completed hundreds of projects in my 31 years.
Thanks for the opportunity!

16 years, and more than 100 quilts -
ReplyDeleteI have been sewing for over 50 years, but I haven't done that much quilting. I have probably made close to a hundred quilt tops or more and someone else did the quilting on them. I did quilt several baby quilts though. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeletei started sewing a year and a half ago and have made a handful of blocks and a couple dozen quilted potholders. i'm hooked!
ReplyDeletethanks
I've been quilting off and on for about 15 years!
ReplyDeleteI started sewing about 5 or so years ago. Actually, my friend started me on cross stitch, then on to quilting. After that I started playing with art quilts, and have collected enough patterns for garments to sew a wardrobe. That's my next try. I don't know how many quilts I have made, I like to give them away. My fave for my son though was my first and only diamond quilt. He picked out his own fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Follower thru GFC.

ReplyDelete• • • I absolutely LOVE Black & white fabrics. Never can have enough! I started quilting in 2000 and almost all of my projects include B&W. ReplyDeleteOh goodness, there's a tough question. I know I started cross-stitching at about 10, and I probably learned to sew around the same time. I think the first time I made something pieced, a pillow cover, was about 15 years ago. I made some things to decorate my home then didn't quilt anything for years. I started back into it about 2 years ago. I kept sewing and doing handwork the whole time, so I didn't totally lose my skills! Having a lot of fun with it.
ReplyDeleteI've been quilting around 15 years so I've probably made over40 quilts!
ReplyDeleteI have been quilting for 6 years but more of quilting as an obsession in the last 2 years
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog :)

Thank you for a chance at your lovely B&W giveaway. I have been quilting for 40 yrs. My MIL taught me the basics of utilty quilts which was what she made, but my GM was the one that taught me my love of pieced quilts. I am not sure how many quilts I have made but the 1st 20 years I only made 2 or 3 a year and the last 20 I've made 10 to 20 a year. Also I have between 20-30 finished tops.
ReplyDeleteI've been quilting for 5 years. Most projects are on the smaller side--I'd say 18 quilts or so.

ReplyDeleteI've been quilting for 16 years and have made about 30 quilts. I'm certain it would have been more were I to have the funds to buy all the fabric I want. As it is I have a whole pin board of quilts I want to make that I don't know that I'll ever get to. Thanks for the giveaway!

Hi Vicky-I am a follower.
ReplyDeleteI have been sewing for 41 years, my first quilting project was a hand pieced pillow when I was 17, made a lot of quilts the wrong way when my kids were little (they loved them anyway-they didn't know;))))-and have finally started to get the hang of things and make quilts I feel really good about giving away within the last two years. In between I've sewed a little bit of everything, and have done the most of English smocking and heirloom sewing- that was my specialty till the kids outgrew wearing it :)
